(Tim Buckley) – Café Moulin – Wembley Park
I tend not to ‘do’ hotel breakfasts, I’ve found they can be sub-standard and over priced, particularly here in Blighty.
So, when a Pete and I stayed at a Wembley hotel after a Springsteen gig we had a decision to make, breakfast in the Holiday Inn or nearby?
Well, we’d spotted the Moulin Café as we walked from Wembley Park tube to the Holiday Inn, so we decided to call in on our way back to the tube.
While it doesn’t look much from the outside, inside the Café Moulin there’s an impressive collection of Queen and Tottenham Hotspur memorabilia on the walls.
It’s clean, as is, for the record, the toilet.
Breakfast was piping hot and tasty, the chips were an unusual touch at nine fifteen, and most left uneaten, but a full English including tea or coffee and two slices of toast for less than six quid?
I suspect we’d have paid considerably more in a hotel.
Well worth a look if you’re staying nearby.
